On the afternoon of May 14, the Medical Faculty of Ningbo University held a specialized training session on Structured Illumination Light-Sheet Microscopy. Professional application engineers from Yongxin Optics provided on-site instruction, offering comprehensive technical guidance and hands-on operational training to faculty and students, helping them master the equipment operation skills.
This specialized training represents an important initiative by the Medical Faculty and Yongxin Optics to deepen school-enterprise cooperation and promote collaborative innovation. To further enhance the service capacity and technical support level of the Medical Faculty's large-scale instrument platform, actively support the development, application, and scenario testing of domestically manufactured large-scale instruments, and strengthen scientific research and technological collaboration with local Ningbo enterprises, the Medical Faculty of Ningbo University and Yongxin Optics formally reached a cooperation agreement in April of this year to establish a joint laboratory. According to the cooperation plan, Yongxin Optics will provide the latest prototype products for use by the Medical Faculty's Large-Scale Instrument Platform Center. The two parties will also conduct in-depth cooperation in areas such as medical education and scientific research innovation, achieving complementary resources and mutual benefits.
The core equipment of this training—the NOS1000 Structured Illumination Light-Sheet Microscope—is the latest generation fluorescence microscope developed by Yongxin Optics. Building upon traditional fluorescence microscopy, this device innovatively incorporates structured illumination technology, significantly improving optical resolution and enabling three-dimensional imaging that traditional fluorescence microscopes cannot achieve. It already performs some functions of a confocal laser scanning microscope while retaining the traditional advantages of fluorescence microscopy, such as rapid large-field stitching imaging. With its high cost-effectiveness and broad application scenarios, the device fully meets the diverse needs of medical education and scientific research experiments. The Medical Faculty is currently planning to connect this equipment to the university's large-scale instrument sharing platform, making it available to all faculty and students across the university, providing professional technical support and services to enhance the research and teaching capabilities in related fields throughout the university.
