个人简介:

                Prof. Scharf is a Full Professor in the Department of Microbiology at Zhejiang University, where he leads a research program investigating fungal infections, microbial natural products, and the molecular mechanisms governing fungal virulence and secondary metabolism. Before joining Zhejiang University, he held research positions as a Senior Research Scientist at Stanford University, Senior Research Fellow at the University of Michigan, and Group Leader at the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology (HKI) in Germany.

                He has received competitive research funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, as well as several international fellowships and scientific awards. He has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, including Chemical Reviews, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Cell Research, Communications Chemistry, mBio, Microbiology Spectrum, and Journal of Natural Products.
